Qualifications

• Meets VDSS Assistant Teacher requirements.
• Willingness to complete required VDSS training including Child Abuse & Neglect, Health & Safety, CPR/First Aid.
• Ability to pass all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in classroom management and uphold regulations and standards.
• Provide a welcoming environment for children and visitors.
• Prepare and implement lesson plans in accordance with curriculum.
• Manage effective classroom transitions and supervise children during activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the classroom.
• Communicate effectively with parents about child’s development.
