Job summary

Kiddy Kollege is seeking qualified teachers to join our Derby, Kansas center. You will support children’s self-help and independence, maintain a safe educational setting, and help develop engaging curricula.

The role emphasizes clear communication with families, reliable attendance, and flexibility to support operations across our child care network. Growth opportunities are provided within our expanding center system.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a licensed child care facility is preferred but not required.
• Must be 18+ for full-time/lead teachers and 16+ for part-time/assistants.
• High school diploma or equivalent required or obtainable state courses.

Responsibilities

• Assist with self-help and independence skills.
• Ensure a positive educational and safe environment.
• Help develop creative curriculum.
• Assist with toilet training, if needed.
• Help with cleaning and organizing the classroom and center.
• Monitor children and enforce safety and respect for others.
• Communicate and build positive relationships with children and parents.

• Perform administrative duties as needed.

Job description

Kiddy Kollege Teachers:

• Assist with self-help and independence skills
• Ensure a positive educational & safe environment
• Help develop creative curriculum
• Assist with toilet training, if needed
• Help with cleaning and organizing your classroom & the center
• Monitor children and enforce the importance of safety and respect for others
• Communicate and create positive relationships with children and parents
• Have opportunity for growth through our network of child care facilities
• Administrative duties as needed

We are most interested in applicants having:

• EXPERIENCE working in a licensed child care facility (1 year preferred) - Not required!
• A Highschool diploma or equivalent
• State required courses/in-service hours or the ability to obtain
• Must be 18 years of age for full time/lead teachers and 16 years for part time/assistants
• Schedule Flexibility (No weekends, out by 6:15pm daily)

Daily Attendance and Reliability are ESSENTIAL to this position. Teachers MUST LOVE children and be able to communicate effectively with parents and co-workers. The goal of the center is to provide a safe place for learning in an encouraging and stimulating environment. We believe EVERY child has the capacity to learn and grow, and we understand children gain knowledge through daily experiences and individualistic instruction.
