The Goddard School of Viera, FL is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to join our caring team. You will support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging, age-appropriate lessons and help maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment for young children.

With responsibilities including supporting development across social, emotional, cognitive and physical domains, preparing materials, and communicating with families, you will thrive in a collaborative setting that values growth and children's

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience in licensed childcare/preschool setting.
• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities
