Job summary

Village Children's Academy is seeking Part-time Assistant Teachers to support our 2-Year-Old classroom. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks are required. Shift: Mon-Fri 3-5pm, with potential to work additional hours as needed.

Village Children's Academy is a licensed childcare center seeking Part-time Assistant Teachers to support our 2-Year-Old classroom!

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks.

Required Shift: Part-time, Mon-Fri 3-5pm (potential to work additional hours as needed)

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
