Job summary

Little Learners Child Development Center in New Jersey seeks an Assistant Teacher to support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters growth and development. You will help implement lesson plans, manage behavior, and promote literacy and math skills in a licensed NJ child care setting.

The role offers both part-time and full-time hours with shifts 8:00-1:00, 1:00-6:00, and 8:00-4:00, making it a flexible position for dedicated educators who are passionate

Qualifications

• Experience in NJ licensed child care centers preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education.
• Strong lesson planning, literacy education, childcare, special education, and math instruction.
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Support childhood development by encouraging students' social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
• Provide assistance with math concepts through hands-on activities and guided practice.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, eating times and outside experiences to ensure safety and engagement.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
