The Goddard School of Ashland, VA is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to join our caring team. You will support the Lead Teacher, assist in implementing age-appropriate activities, and help maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence.

• Must pass state background checks and meet licensing requirements.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans


• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions


• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment


• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
  
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities


• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment


• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment
