Job summary

Celebree School is seeking a Childcare Aide/Assistant Teacher to support lead teachers and uphold Celebree's values of protection, education, and nurture. This entry-level role focuses on meeting each child’s individual needs within a collaborative team.

You'll grow BIG with Celebree through ongoing training, development opportunities, and clear career pathways, with shifts Monday through Friday across morning, afternoon, and evening slots; no nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead Teachers in classroom management ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assist in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assist in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained.
• Present a positive and professional image at all times adhering to uniform requirements.
• Communicate effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
