Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Seattle is seeking a dedicated Ride Maintenance Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair all park rides. You will apply electronic knowledge and contribute to safe, reliable operations across our attractions.

This role requires at least two years of mechanical experience, the ability to lead a maintenance team, lift heavy loads, and work at heights. You’ll collaborate with colleagues to maintain high safety standards while supporting a world-class guest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of rides or mechanical experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a company driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication about technical knowledge.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Able to stand for an entire shift and work at heights up to 385 ft.

What it takes to succeed:

• Have high school diploma or equivalent
• Have at least two years of rides or mechanical experience
• Have a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a company driver’s license
• Have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
• Be able to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced work environment
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills regarding technical knowledge
• Possess knowledge and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Be able to stand for an entire shift
• Be comfortable working at heights up to 385ft
• Be able to walk uphill and work on a 35-40 degree slope
• Be able to repetitively climb stairs
• Be able to climb and work off of ladders
• Be comfortable working in and around water
• Meet all ride requirements and be comfortable test-riding all rides
• Be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts
• Certified in park rides green tag procedures and competency tested
• Cross-trained in other maintenance fields
