About Westbrook Country Club: Founded in 1906, Westbrook is a privately owned club nestled in the rolling hills of Mansfield. The Donald Ross design takes full advantage of over 100 feet of elevation change to showcase splendid views. Since being sold in 2021, the new owners have built a 300 person event center, 38,000 square foot clubhouse expansion, and are remodeling an adjoining property into guest suites and condos exclusively for members. Many upcoming golf course projects, including a complete golf course renovation with a new irrigation system, new maintenance facility, and a Par 3 short course will provide Westbrook exactly what the owners want: a true upscale private club golf destination.

Position summary:

Westbrook CC is seeking a self‑motivated, detail oriented Assistant Superintendent to support daily golf course maintenance while playing an active role in planning and implementing the upcoming renovation. The individual will work closely with the Superintendent and will assume responsibility in the Superintendents absence. The candidate should have a positive attitude and strong work ethic, be a team player, self‑starter, self‑motivated, and flexible to adapt on the fly.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing, and managing daily maintenance operations.
Implement and execute agronomic programs including fertilization, irrigation, and pesticide applications.
Supervise and train staff, and assist in scheduling.
Assist in operation, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation system.
Scout and monitor golf course and recommend improvements.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and overseeing contractors during construction.
