Job summary

DSLD Homes is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (Full-Time) in Monroe, LA to manage residential construction projects. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some variability.

You will support the on-site superintendent, coordinate with trades, and ensure high-quality homes are delivered on schedule. The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and knowledge of residential construction. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the area are necessary.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Willingness to learn and be a positive team player.
• Knowledge of residential construction preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Residency in Louisiana or surrounding states and willingness to travel within assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Develop literacy in building code, construction language, materials, schedules, methodologies, and DSLD Field Guide Specs.
• Assist the superintendent in daily operations of building homes in high-volume neighborhoods.
• Work on punch lists and check specs.
• Communicate effectively with trades and homeowners.
• Assist Customer Care Technicians with warranty work when needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Assistant Superintendent (Full-Time) – Monroe, LA

• Days and hours of work are Monday — Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Days and times of work can vary

We are currently seeking candidates who are interested in pursuing a full time career in residential construction. Being a team player and having a good work ethic and attitude are important to succeed in this role. Experience in customer service and strong communication skills also play a critical part since this role requires face-to-face interaction with homeowners and our trade partners. Responsibilities will involve every part of the production process for multiple residential construction projects at one time. Working as a team and communicating effectively with our trade partners and the neighborhood superintendent to deliver completed homes with a high standard of quality is essential for this role.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop literacy in building code, construction and technical language, construction materials, construction schedules, construction methodologies and standards, and DSLD Homes Field Guide Specs.
• Assist the superintendent in performing their day-to-day operations of building homes in high volume neighborhoods.
• Work on punch lists.
• Communicate effectively with trades and suppliers.
• Check spec homes.
• Maintain cleanliness of jobsites.
• Coordinate with trades and homeowners for any post-closing punch list items.
• Assist the Customer Care Technicians with warranty work, when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Strong customer service background.
• Positive team player attitude and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of residential construction and experience in the industry is preferred.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required. Position requires the individual to travel to different locations within assigned area.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Physical stamina is required because this position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, some climbing or balancing and carrying.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
• Position is often exposed to various weather conditions (especially heat), loud noise, and vibrations.
• Residency in one of the following states is a requirement for the position: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas.
