Job summary

Michael Page in the Washington, DC area is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join a growing GC on a high-profile $20M project. You will support daily field operations and subcontractor coordination.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in construction, experience with multifamily or commercial projects, proficiency with Procore, strong scheduling, safety focus, and a commitment to long-term growth. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to advance quickly.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of construction field leadership experience.
• Experience in multifamily, mixed-use, retail, hospitality, or office projects.
• Procore or similar construction management software knowledge.
• Strong scheduling, coordination, and safety focus.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor schedules and support milestone tracking to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain site safety, quality control, and logistics.
• Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and trade activities.
• Use Procore for documentation, RFIs, punch lists, and reporting.
• Support project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with site walks to verify progress and adherence to plans.
• Support closeout activities and turnover documentation.
• Collaborate with management to resolve field issues and maintain productivity.
• Ensure work aligns with plans and client expectations.
