Chichester School District in Aston, PA, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to provide leadership across curriculum, instruction, and assessment for K‑12. The role focuses on student learning supports and coaching growth of direct and indirect reports, aligned with the district’s strategic plan.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required, Doctorate preferred (degree must emphasize school administration and/or curriculum and instruction)
• PA Superintendent License/Eligibility (must possess or near completion) or Administrative II/Instructional II certification in PA preferred
• 8–10 years of educational experience with at least 3 years in K-12 educational leadership
• Experience with underrepresented, low-income, or diverse learner subgroups
• Experience implementing/ improving programs in teaching & learning, assessment, and professional development
• Experience evaluating direct reports and mentoring/coaching
• Experience using student data to inform decision-making
• Experience in Curriculum & Instruction, School Culture/Climate, or Community Engagement
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in oral and written form
• Clearances ACT 34, 114, 151

Responsibilities

• Directs articulation of curriculum and instruction across K-12
• Creates design of new curricular and extracurricular programs; monitors efficacy of current programs
• Develops strategy identifying, promoting, and integrating learning models and assessment design
• Collaborates with central office and building-level departments to optimize education technologies
• Supervisory oversight of district leadership including principals and directors
• Promotes leadership and professional development through planning and coaching
• Maintains regular communication with direct and indirect reports and superintendent
• Ensures compliance with supervisor accountability framework for ACT 93 employees
• Oversees district funds for instructional and student support monies
• Plans and monitors budgets related to teaching, learning and student services
• Interprets standardized assessments and data to inform policy making
• Uses forecasting tools to anticipate needs in curriculum and student services
• Provides guidance on best practices from research
• Supports communications to Board of Directors and community
