Job summary

Ferguson Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead on-site operations from award to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction on commercial projects. You will collaborate with project teams to manage schedules, materials, and field personnel, while upholding our standards of accountability and teamwork.

Applicants with foreman experience in commercial construction are encouraged to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year in a leadership role in commercial construction.
  • Proven background managing mid- to large-scale projects.
  • OSHA 30-hour or OSHA 10-hour certification required.
  • Procore experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.
  • Experience with large construction projects; NUCOR Buildings experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Champion job site safety and enforce all safety policies with consistency.
  • Oversee construction activities per plans, specs, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project teams to maintain accurate, timely documentation.
  • Supervise craft workers and promote teamwork, respect, and high performance.
  • Plan and manage schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Maintain schedule efficiency while minimizing overtime and general conditions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of craft timecards and weekly equipment-hour reporting.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, storage, and utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Provide precise layout and communication across all trades.
  • Support or lead job setup, safety compliance, quality control, and closeout.
  • Assist Project Managers with material scheduling and change management processes.
  • Develop and manage site logistics plans.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
