Job summary

Consigli Construction in Milford, MA seeks an Assistant Superintendent for full-time, on-site management of construction activities on the project site. You will help administer safety programs, interpret drawings, manage subcontractor operations, and support daily/weekly reporting and scheduling tasks.

Ideal candidates have a 0–5 year background in construction, a related bachelor’s degree, OSHA 30, and the ability to coordinate with client representatives, designers, and other contractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site management of construction activities on the project site.
• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide technical assistance, interpret contract drawings and submittals.
• Manage select self-perform and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, quality.
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with daily/weekly tasks: reports, safety walks, quantity reports, schedule updates.
• Understand project schedule and critical path.
• Review and provide content for the short-term plan.
• Participate in quality program: inspections and material verification.
• Interface with client reps, A-E reps, other contractors, and officials professionally.
• Participate in business development and lead generation on current projects.
• Attend monthly superintendent meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and training sessions.
• Develop skills to become a Superintendent and manage all aspects of a project.

Salary Range: $76,000 - $89,000

Reporting directly to the Superintendent and General Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will help with daily on-site management of construction activities on the project site.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Provides technical assistance on the project, interprets contract drawings and submittals.
• Manage select self-perform operations and subcontractor operations including safety, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, daily safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and weekly schedule updates.
• Understand the project schedule and the critical path.
• Review and provide content for the short-term plan.
• Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials.
• Interface with client representatives, A-E representatives, other contractors, and various building officials in a professional manner when required.
• Participate in business development. Create Raving Fans on current projects. Utilize contacts to initiate leads for future projects.
• Participate in monthly superintendent’s meetings, quarterly safety meetings, and periodic training sessions.
• Develop skills required to become a Superintendent and manage and control all aspects of a construction project.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Construction Management/Civil Engineering.

• OSHA 30 Required.
