Job summary

Richard Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to supervise daily site construction activities and manage field personnel to meet schedule and budget. The role requires reporting to the project site five days a week and living within proximity to the project location. The company offers a housing allowance for relocation.

Ideal candidates will be flexible for assignments across the United States after the initial project, with a focus on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years’ experience with a general contracting company.
  • Understanding of construction materials, means, methods, and building systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to develop RFIs, change orders, total project schedules, 3-week look-aheads, and other project documents.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to home office, Owner, Subcontractors and experience running owner meetings.
  • Availability to potentially work on any shift, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, as hospital construction occurs at all hours.
  • Experience in Davis Bacon-Prevailing wage or Union required projects.
  • Ability to pass a background check and a drug test.
  • OSHA 30 Certified
  • A desire to stay and grow with a company that will help mentor, train, and educate you

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with all project team members to maintain project schedule, safety, budget and quality control efforts
  • Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents.
  • Monitor field productivity.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal logs.
  • Maintain customer relationships.
  • Ensure timely and safe completion of project, while adhering to contract documents and project budgets
  • Coordinate with Safety Manager to ensure projects are completed in accordance with safety goals.

Job Summary

The Assistant Superintendent holds the responsibility of overseeing daily site construction activities and managing all necessary field personnel to ensure the successful completion of the project within the designated schedule and budget. This encompasses upholding the highest quality standards, supervising trade and field personnel, and implementing effective construction safety practices throughout all on-site activities. The individual holding this position is required to report to a project site five days a week. It is expected that the individual lives within proximity of the project location or the surrounding areas. Richard offers a housing allowance to cover the cost of living if a candidate must relocate.
