Wayfare Communities in Forney, TX is seeking a hands-on Assistant Superintendent to join our construction team. The role will work closely with the Project Superintendent to oversee daily activities, coordinate subcontractors, manage punch lists, and ensure projects meet quality standards.

Formación

• Field operations or construction management experience required.
• Hands-on finish work, punch lists, and closeout experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenance.
• Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with daily construction oversight ensuring work meets plans, schedules, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and trades to address on-site issues and keep work progressing.
• Identify, document, and manage punch-list items through completion.
• Conduct walkthroughs to ensure finish work meets company quality standards.
• Oversee and participate in finish work, including painting, fixtures, and final details.
• Assist with final inspections, project closeout, and turnover.
• Maintain clear communication with the Project Superintendent regarding progress, challenges, and outstanding items.
• Operate construction equipment as needed, with appropriate training and certifications.

Position Overview

We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Superintendent to join our construction team in Forney, TX.

This position will work directly with our Project Superintendent to help oversee daily construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, manage punch lists, and ensure our projects are completed to our quality standards.

The ideal candidate has construction field experience, strong attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering a quality finished product. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of their responsibilities and isn't afraid to jump in and get things done.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily construction oversight, ensuring work meets project plans, schedules, and safety requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Forney, TX. The role involves working on active construction sites, including outdoor conditions, physical activity, and occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on project needs.
