Job summary

DPR Construction in Silicon Valley, CA seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations, coordinate materials, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Requires an Associate's degree in construction management or related field and 5 years of field engineering or construction management experience. OSHA 30 cert within 6 months; First Aid/CPR required; OSHA 510/500 preferred. Anticipated starting pay range: $135,000–$170,000 per year.

• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or a related field required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification required within 6 months of hire.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the management and development of a team of field operations individuals, fostering skill growth and ensuring quality performance under guidance.
• Supervises daily site activities and applies sound judgment in implementing quality control measures, resolving routine issues and supporting solutions to unique field challenges to ensure compliance with project plans and safety protocols.
• Manages coordination of delivery and allocation of materials and equipment to support uninterrupted workflow.
• Monitors accurate daily logs and progress reports to document project activities and issues.
• Communicates routine updates and concerns to project leadership, enabling timely resolution of challenges.
• Participates in or leads safety meetings and site inspections to reinforce a culture of accountability.
• Supports field teams, including self-perform, in addressing routine operational issues and escalates more complex matters as needed.
