Job summary

McKinstry is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our Energy division in Bozeman, MT to ensure project success through on-site management of subcontractors, field documentation, and maintenance of client relationships.

This role coordinates schedules, reviews submittals and RFIs, and supports Project Manager bid procurement while upholding McKinstry safety standards and coordinating with the Safety team.

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Working knowledge of Procore and Bluebeam; proficiency with Microsoft Project; Primavera P6 preferred
  • Knowledge of construction management, the commercial building process, and OSHA standards required
  • Experience with, or strong working knowledge of, renewable energy and decarbonization project delivery (solar, battery storage, electrification, building commissioning) preferred
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Suite including Project and Planner; working knowledge of Planisware and Vista Viewpoint preferred
  • Four (4) years of leadership of trades and job sites preferred
  • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or Facilities Management, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the onsite face of McKinstry; develops and updates project schedules and manages jobsite set up and tear down logistics
  • Approves daily work tickets, reviews submittals, and develops RFIs to document scope changes
  • Schedules and coordinates subcontractors and vendors; assists in writing scopes of work and supports Project Manager bid procurement
  • Manages and closes out punch list activity in a timely manner; maintains daily logs and required project documentation
  • Acts as conduit of communication between client and subcontractors; resolves subcontractor disputes and ensures client concerns are resolved promptly
  • Upholds McKinstry safety standards; hosts and documents Weekly Safety meetings and coordinates with the Safety team on the site safety plan

The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are looking for an Assistant Superintendentto be a part of our Energy division in Bozeman, MT. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
  • OSHA 30 certification required

The pay range for this position is $33.32 - $47.34 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is considered non-exempt and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
