Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend services. This temporary role supports a Master Stylist for the first months, with progression to servicing guests of their own.

A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and willingness to learn are essential. You will work under mentorship to develop technical skills and product knowledge across hair and makeup services, while maintaining high guest satisfaction and adherence to

Qualifications

Cosmetology license required.
Knowledge of latest salon techniques and ability to develop skills in all service categories (haircuts, color, styling, makeup).
Strong communication and the ability to work independently or in a team to build relationships with guests.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional guest service and help meet store goals for retail and services.
Support mentor stylist in achieving sales and productivity targets (hair services and products).
After month three, perform hair services including design, cuts, color, texture, and styling.
Demonstrate products with guests to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
Assist with in-store events, promotions and marketing initiatives for an unrivaled guest experience.
Stay informed on trends, products and services to better serve guests.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
