Tresses & Colours Salon is seeking an Assistant Stylist / Junior Stylist to join a long-standing, education-focused salon in New York. You will learn, grow, and gradually take over an existing client following, while working alongside experienced stylists in a supportive team environment.

The role emphasizes ongoing education, hands-on mentoring, and opportunities to build lasting client relationships within a loyal, established salon community.

Qualifications

• New York Cosmetology License (or Temporary License).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Weekend availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced stylists throughout the day.
• Shampoo, condition, and prepare clients.
• Apply color and toners (based on experience).
• Blow dry and style hair.
• Keep the salon clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Learn advanced cutting, coloring, and styling techniques.
• Gradually build your own clientele while transitioning existing guests.
