MACH 1 TRUCK STOP in Marion, Illinois is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee the location in the manager's absence, lead staff, and drive profitability. You'll assist with daily paperwork, inventory counts, deposits, vendor relations, and scheduling, while ensuring policy compliance, pricing accuracy, and a safe, customer-focused store environment.

Responsibilities

• Total management of the location in the absence of the store manager; provide excellent customer service and maximize store profitability.
• Assist the store manager with daily paperwork and filing of daily reports.
• Conduct inventory counts and cash audits.
• Ensure all deposits are taken to the bank daily.
• Record invoices for inventory control.
• Communicate daily with sales associates and corporate office personnel.
• Work with vendors and ensure proper placement of orders.
• Create schedules without exceeding labor hours.
• Maintain store appearance to company standards.
• Monitor prices by checking competitor pricing.
• Follow all laws pertaining to store operation.
• Ensure personnel adhere to company policies.
• Address staffing issues as they arise and ensure workplace safety.
