Job summary

REVOLVE is seeking an Assistant Store Manager, Visual Merchandising in San Diego, CA to support the Store Manager and lead the team in delivering a premium customer experience. The role focuses on executing visual initiatives, training staff, and maintaining brand standards across the sales floor.

You will collaborate with leadership to keep displays current, drive productivity, and coach staff for peak performance while embodying the REVOLVE brand in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support Retail Visual Merchandising Manager in weekly floor sets, events and staff education.
• Collaborate with store leadership to ensure displays reflect latest directive and drive productivity.
• Perform general daily store leadership tasks including opening/closing and coaching team members.
• Lead a team on designated sales floors, maintaining best-in-class VM.
• Use sales and product data to plan merchandise movement with Visual leadership support.
• Communicate new products, merchandising changes and visual updates to the team.
• Provide on-the-spot feedback and training on brand standards and display techniques.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure a smooth flow of product from back to front of house.
• Utilize the Visual Merchandising Checklist to uphold store standards and maintenance.
• Deliver elevated client experience as a brand ambassador.

The Retail Assistant Store Manager is the primary support to their Store Manager in driving a performance based culture within their location, while focusing on delivering exceptional customer experience. The Assistant Manager should be passionate about fashion, styling, client connection, and developing talent. The Assistant Manager leads in partnership with their Store Manager and is a brand ambassador for our customer and internal team.

Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• The Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising supports the Retail Visual Merchandising Manager in the execution of all visual initiatives, including but not limited to weekly floor sets, event preparation, and staff education.
• Regularly collaborate with Retail VMM, Store Manager, and other store leadership to ensure all displays are current according to the latest directive and are successfully driving productivity.
• Perform general daily store leadership tasks such as opening and closing the store, acting as the manager on duty, and managing/coaching team members.
• Lead a team, helping them to manage the workload on their designated salesfloors and ensuring they're supported in maintaining best-in-class VM.
• Utilize feedback from store leadership team and stylists, as well as product performance & sales reports, to strategically plan and execute the movement of merchandise with the support of Visual leadership in order to continually impact positive sell through of goods.
• Communicate with the store team about new products received, merchandising changes, and any other visual updates that occur on your floor.
• Provide direct feedback and in-the-moment training related to brand standards, product placement, and visual display techniques to support team members ongoing learning and development.
• Partner cross-functionally with the Operations team to ensure a streamlined flow of new product from back of house to front of house.
• Regularly utilize the Visual Merchandising Checklist to ensure all aspects of our visual merchandising, store standards, and maintenance are upheld.
• Manage the execution of an elevated client experience acting as a brand ambassador, embodying brand values and engaging customers on the brand.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Prior experience in a retail setting where visual merchandising or creative duties were performed.
• Prior experience in a managerial role or leading a team.
• An eye for detail and passion for contemporary and designer fashion & trends.
• Candidates must be collaborative and team-oriented, passionate, and adaptable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Comfort engaging with clients at a high level of customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficient in G-Suite and the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• 3+ years retail experience
• Must have availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts
• Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $80,000
