Job summary

BYLT Basics in New York is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to supervise Retail Associates and ensure outstanding customer service. You will lead daily store operations, mentor staff, and act as the Manager on Duty when needed.

You will build product knowledge, drive sales, manage openings/closures, oversee inventory, and uphold company policies. This role requires strong leadership, team management, and a passion for the BYLT brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail/apparel setting preferred.
• 3 years of retail experience with at least 1 year in supervisory role.
• 1+ years’ visual merchandising experience preferred.
• Interpersonal, customer service, and basic math & reporting skills.
• Be an effective team player with strong leadership and ethics.
• Strong computer and POS system experience is desired.
• Strong sales knowledge and ability to train others.

• Assist with the guiding, directing, and motivating team members. Monitor sales and motivate the team to hit forecasted goals.

• Assist with the recruiting, hiring, and training of team members
• Help build product-knowledge driven sales culture, sharing your knowledge of our industry, eco-initiatives, and high-quality product to Store Team and Customers
• Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and corporate directives
• Ensure manager directives are being properly executed
• Coach and train retail associates as needed
• Complete and delegate tasks assigned by the retail manager accurately and efficiently
