Job summary

Vail Resorts in Breckenridge, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Rental Delivery for the winter season. You will lead daily operations, schedule staff, and act as manager-on-duty when the Store Manager is away, ensuring excellent guest service in our rental store.

You will train team members on POS, product knowledge, loss prevention, and customer engagement while maintaining records and staying current on offerings. Competitive pay and growth opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Retail supervisor experience required, ski industry preferred.
• Guest service experience and leadership ability required.
• Ability to manage fast-paced retail operations and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, scheduling and payroll; act as manager-on-duty in the absence of a Store Manager.
• Maintain store records, sales metrics, and inventory; oversee equipment rentals if applicable.
• Train employees in POS operation, product knowledge, guest service, and loss prevention policies.
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, recognition or corrective action as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and deliver excellent customer service.
• Participate in leadership discussions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support merchandising and rentals as needed.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $25.00 /hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations, monitoring performance and budget including scheduling and payroll; act as manager-on-duty in the absence of a Store Manager
• Maintain daily store records for performance, sales metrics, inventory control and equipment rentals (if applicable)
• Hire and train employees in POS system operation, product knowledge, guest service, sales techniques and loss prevention policies and procedures
• Monitor team performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition or correction action if necessary
• Maintain up to date product knowledge and provide excellent customer service through timely response to customer questions, suggestions, complaints, and recognition
• Participate with leadership forums providing feedback and input on store performance, training, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned, including specialty areas like merchandising and rentals

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Business area training or education preferred
• 1-3 years of retail supervisor experience; ski industry preferred.
• Guest service experience and leadership experience - required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, multitask and manage multiple customers
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English

The expected pay range is$25.00 /hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
