Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Crawfordsville, IN seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. The role supports opening/closing, merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor, and daily tasks to keep the store running smoothly.

You will mentor Store Associates, uphold safety and company policies, protect assets, and deliver a positive customer experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail/store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
