Store Space Self Storage in South Elgin, IL seeks an Assistant Store Manager. Hourly pay $16.00–$17.00, DOE, with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO and sick time. You will drive rentals, upsell services, manage the facility and respond to customer inquiries.

Open 7 days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Requires 2+ years of customer service, 1+ year sales/collections, strong computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• 1+ year of customer-centered sales and collections (cold calling) experience.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will serve as an invaluable member of our team by striving to build a clean, safe, and positive experience for our customers. You will be directly responsible for increasing sales by converting opportunities to rentals and upselling. Your day‑to‑day duties include caring for the facility, inside and out, as well as collections, deposits, and responding to customer inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of customer service experience (e.g., retail sales, restaurant, front desk, site management)
• 1+ year of customer‑centered sales and collections (cold calling) experience
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods
• Able to operate POS and other typical office machines
• Ability to travel between multiple locations

Leadership or supervisory experience is highly preferred. Candidates should be able to prioritize and multi‑task independently in a fast‑paced environment, and be excellent communicators, organized, detail‑oriented, diplomatic, and a team player.

WORK SCHEDULE

Open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
