Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in Oakland, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Store #6062. You will handle leasing storage, supervise a team, assist maintenance, and maintain tenant relationships while ensuring high service standards.

This role offers a Mon-Fri 9:30am to 6:00pm schedule with no nights, a starting wage of $22/hour plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow with a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Proven customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
• Ability to explain rental options and close sales.

Assistant Store Manager (Store #6062 - Oakland, CA) Job Summary - NO NIGHTS!

The right candidate pays attention to details, stays organized, and delights in finding great solutions to problems. This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including leasing storage and parking, managing a team, assisting with maintenance, supervising on-site projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 9:30am to 6:00pm; Sat 9:00am - 4:00pm; Sun 10:00am - 2:00pm

Starting at $22/hour + Bonus

What You'll Do

• Rent storage units
• Prepare rental agreements
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities
• Cleaning of vacated units and general cleaning of the property
• Promotes and sells self-storage solutions to potential customers
• Light maintenance
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services
• Maintain general curb appeal
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and current auto insurance
• The position requires a background check
• Other duties as assigned by the Company
