Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Oakland, CA location. This role offers no night shifts and a starting rate of $22/hour plus bonus, with responsibilities spanning leasing, supervising staff, and maintaining the property.

You will handle rental agreements, transactions, and on-site operations while delivering excellent customer service and promoting storage solutions. Hours are Mon-Fri 9:30am–6:00pm; Sat 9:00am–4:00pm; Sun 10:00am–2:00pm.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales abilities.
• Willingness to pass a background check.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental agreements.
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities.
• Cleaning of vacated units and general cleaning of the property.
• Promotes and sells self-storage solutions to potential customers.
• Light maintenance.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and current auto insurance.
• The position requires a background check.
• Other duties as assigned by the Company.
