SmartStop® Self Storage in Surprise, AZ is hiring an Assistant Store Manager. The role involves leasing storage, supervising a team, and maintaining tenant relationships. There are no night shifts, with hours Mon–Fri 9:30am–6:00pm, Sat 9:00am–4:00pm, Sun 10:00am–2:00pm, and the starting pay is $17.00/hour plus bonus.

You’ll handle rentals, agreements, and monetary transactions, assist with maintenance, and promote storage solutions. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service is essential for rental sales and tenant satisfaction.
• Clear communication skills for guidance and transactions.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to adapt to process changes and new policies.

Responsibilities

• Rent storage units and explain terms to customers.
• Prepare rental agreements and handle deposits and payments.
• Process banking activities and cash handling accurately.
• Clean vacated units and perform general property upkeep.
• Promote and sell storage solutions to customers.
• Assist with light maintenance and curb appeal.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, and promotions.
• Have reliable transportation, a valid license, and current insurance.
• Background check required; perform other assigned duties.

Assistant Store Manager (Store #8605 - Surprise, AZ)

Job Summary - NO NIGHTS!

The right candidate pays attention to details, stays organized, and delights in finding great solutions to problems. This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including leasing storage and parking, managing a team, assisting with maintenance, supervising on-site projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 9:30am to 6:00pm; Sat 9:00am - 4:00pm; Sun 10:00am - 2:00pm

Starting at $17.00/hour + Bonus

What You’ll Do:

• Rent storage units
• Prepare rental agreements
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities
• Cleaning of vacated units and general cleaning of the property
• Promotes and sells self-storage solutions to potential customers
• Light maintenance
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services
• Maintain general curb appeal
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and current auto insurance
• The position requires a background check
• Other duties as assigned by the Company
