Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for Store #6050. This role handles leasing, on-site supervision, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations during daytime hours with no nights.

Starting at $18.00/hour plus bonus, you’ll ensure smooth operations and exceptional tenant service. You will rent storage units, process rental agreements, manage cash flow, and support a friendly, dynamic team while maintaining facility standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or storage rental operations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Assistant Store Manager (Store #6050 - City, Pompano Beach, FL) Job Summary - NO NIGHTS!

The right candidate pays attention to detail, stays organized, and delights in finding great solutions to problems. This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including leasing storage and parking, managing a team, assisting with maintenance, supervising on-site projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 9:30 am to 6:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am - 4:00 pm; Sun 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Starting at $18.00/hour + Bonus

What You'll Do:

• Rent storage units
• Prepare rental agreements
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities
• Clean vacated units and perform general cleaning of the property
• Promote and sell self-storage solutions to potential customers
• Light maintenance
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services
• Maintain general curb appeal
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and current auto insurance
• The position requires a background check
• Other duties as assigned by the Company
