The Texan Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Monahans, TX store. The ASM will work under the Store Manager to supervise all store operations and staff, ensuring smooth daily activities and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities include training, staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, policy enforcement, and exceptional customer service to retain customers and protect company assets. This role requires leadership and a proactive approach to store performance.

• The initial and ongoing training of other team members, as well as development to prepare for advancement opportunities.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels by submitting requisitions for open positions to human resources, interviewing candidates, and submitting documentation in follow-up to interviews.
• Scheduling team members to coincide with budget and labor projections and to make daily adjustments as necessary
• Write and conduct performance reviews of department team members
• Document violations of company policies/procedures and conduct appropriate corrective action, up to and including termination, involving Human Resources as appropriate.
• Build relationships with team members and coach them, regardless of their performance level
• Inspire and persuade others to voluntarily follow direction, pursue and achieve goals, and adopt new positions or opinions.
• Balance analysis, wisdom, experience, and perspective when making decisions
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of team members and the company
• Answer questions and provide guidance to all department team members
• Assist all department team members, supervisors, and team members with daily responsibilities while leading by example.
• Adhere to company standards around promotions and signage.
• Maintain clean interior and exterior convenience store appearance as per convenience store operating standards to attract and retain customers
• Control cash merchandise shortages through proper use of company control procedures
• Enforce check and credit card acceptance policies
• Ensure all team members comply with all money drop procedures to ensure employee safety and to protect company funds
• Prepare daily reports and money deposits accurately and timely
• Monitor and maintain all food service areas per company policies and government regulations to protect customers from illness.
• Ensure strict compliance with all company policies and procedures applying to the sale of age-restricted products.
• Communicate and work cooperatively with Directors & other department managers and team members to maintain standards and exceed customer service expectations.
• Always make the best use of time and resources; seek ways to reduce costs
• Identify the required tasks and resources to achieve goals, prioritize key action steps, and anticipate the impacts and risks of decisions and actions.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including answering the telephone using proper phone etiquette, addressing concerns and resolving issues when they are not satisfied with the service or product received, and assist with items they are looking for

The Texan Stores is seeking skilled candidates for the position of Assistant Store Manager (ASM) at our store in Monahans, Texas. ASM's are responsible for assisting the Store Manager in supervising all activates related to store operations, including the supervision of store employees.
