Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. through its HomeGoods store in Florence, AL, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead a diverse team and drive daily store performance. You will mentor Associates, manage operations, and implement plans to meet sales and service targets in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will foster an inclusive, high-energy culture, ensure outstanding customer experiences, and partner with leadership to execute store initiatives and loss prevention programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and mentor others.
• Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales, managing expenses, and overseeing operations (merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service) with focus on shrink reduction.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor Associates; provide training to build a strong team.
• Communicate action plans for projects, targets, and store changes; contribute to succession planning.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and improve efficiency.
