Job summary

Family Dollar in Riverdale, IL is seeking a dedicated Store Manager to lead daily store operations, supervise associates, and deliver outstanding customer service. Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read/interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure policy compliance
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise store operations
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
