The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio, presenting options that meet their needs.
  2. Escalate unresolved issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), or corporate office.
  3. Answer inquiries via phone regarding questions, applications, or requests.
  4. Conduct outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls following regulations and store expectations.
  5. Respond professionally to customer concerns, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel valued.
  6. Handle cash and perform cash management duties, including deposits and safe transfers.
  7. Balance cash drawers and resolve discrepancies.
  8. Verify customer information during transactions.
  9. Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  10. Adhere to federal, state, and company policies and regulations.
  11. Complete required compliance trainings on schedule.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 1+ year experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance.

Physical Demands:

  • Work in a retail/office environment with extensive cash handling.
  • Extended periods of standing, phone usage, and computer work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with accommodations if needed.

Travel / Attendance:

  • Travel within the district using personal vehicle.
  • Potential overnight travel and travel to neighboring districts.
  • Work scheduled shifts as assigned.
