Job summary

El Tigre Food Stores / Tex Best Travel Centers is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to deliver outstanding service and maintain a clean, customer-friendly store environment. You will stock and merchandise products, operate the register, and supervise daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager.

Ideal candidates have at least three years in convenience store or food service, cash handling experience, and basic computer skills. Texas alcohol sales credential is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience in a Convenience Store and/or food service environments.
• Experience with professional cash handling procedures.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Possess a Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission card to sell alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and friendly assistance to customers, vendors, and other Associates.
• Operate cash register to ring sales and handle payments.
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures, and state/federal laws for alcohol, tobacco, and lottery sales.
• Coach and supervise associates in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Ensure store cleanliness and merchandising, and oversee stock deliveries.
