Job summary

Colonial Group in Newark, Delaware is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering an amazing customer experience and driving store results. This role requires leadership, sales acumen, and the ability to develop a team of associates on a fast-paced retail floor.

You will partner with the Store Manager to maximize sales, demonstrate product knowledge, coach staff, and ensure merchandising standards are maintained.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Co/Assistant Manager in similar volume, apparel business (preferred).
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business (including evenings and weekends).
• Occasional travel to other store locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans to achieve results and grow the business.
• Understand and demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Develop team members who are committed to creating a great experience for customers.
• Oversee assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Support the Store Manager to ensure store standards for merchandising and operations are met.
• Learn about all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed in challenging situations and unforeseen circumstances.
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and execute management functions in absence of Store Manager.
