Job summary

Saver Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to ensure an excellent shopping experience for customers, drive sales growth, and lead the store team. You will help meet store standards and collaborate with the store manager to maintain a high-performing operation.

The ASM will coach staff, ensure safety and customer satisfaction, and assist in scheduling while stepping in during the manager’s absence. This role demands strong leadership and adherence to company values.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation; daily interaction with customers.
• Knowledge of the grocery business; 1–2 years preferred.
• Attention to detail across all store departments.
• Ability to manage store financial assets.
• Knowledge of state and federal labor laws.
• Ability to delegate effectively.
• Ability to foster teamwork throughout the store.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Must pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, coaching and development to store team members in relation to tasks, duties, role requirements and performance standards.
• Creates a safe and positive store environment for team members and customers alike.
• Assists store manager with creating the weekly schedule for team members.
• Responsible for leading the store in the store manager’s absence to include opening and closing the store.
• Takes genuine interest in the growth, development and success of the team members through rigorous training, coaching, mentoring and development, and supports the Store Manager in progressive disciplinary actions as required.
• Consistently and effectively communicates across all stakeholders, including but not limited to store team members, store managers and district managers.

Job Summary
