Job summary

Hop Shops, a division of Valor Oil, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Maineville, OH. Start date: Immediate. Pay is $16.25 per hour with a training schedule followed by varied shifts.

The role offers leadership growth and opportunities within Valor as you support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff, manage daily operations, and stand in for the Store Manager when required.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members.
• Support daily operations and coach/mentor staff.
• Step in for the Store Manager when needed.
• Support inventory management, cash handling, and store maintenance.
• Ensure store policies and safety standards are followed.

Schedule – 1st shift during training, then varies

Location – Maineville, OH

Start date – Immediate

Responsibilities:

Team Support & Leadership:

Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members.

Support daily operations.

Coach and mentor team members.

Step in for the Store Manager when needed.

Store Operations:

Support in inventory management, cash handling, and store maintenance.

Assist in ensuring the store remains clean, well-organized, and meets all safety standards.

Ensure proper execution of store policies and procedures.

Customer Service & Community Engagement:

Provide exceptional customer service.

Build and maintain strong relationships.

Assist with community engagement initiatives and outreach efforts.

Safety & Security:

Help ensure the safety of team members, customers, and store property.

Assist with implementing security protocols and conducting regular safety checks to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements
