Big Boy Restaurants in Maysville, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and uphold the company’s standards for guest service and food quality.

You will work with the General Manager to drive sales, maintain safety and sanitation, recruit and train team members, and ensure a welcoming, high‑performance environment that reflects our iconic American brand since 1936.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and enforces company policies, procedures and standards; ensures wages, hours and sanitation comply with laws.
• Understands P&L and collaborates with the Executive General Manager to meet restaurant financial goals.
• Works with the management team to maximize sales and profits while maintaining operating standards.
• Maintains proper inventories and completes related accounting and administrative reports.
• Assists in recruiting, interviewing and hiring, and oversees training and growth of staff; coaches employees as needed.
• Supports advertising and promotions coordination by the Marketing Department; ensures food is prepared and presented properly.
• Maintains strict safety and sanitation standards within the restaurant.
• Ensures employees receive proper training, schedules are appropriate, and guest goodwill is maintained.
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to uniform standards.
• Provides ongoing support to the team to achieve complete guest satisfaction.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of their staff. He or she must have a full knowledge of the Company's operational standards and must be able to demonstrate and teach these standards to others. The Assistant Store Manager must be able to build a team that provides instant guest recognition, excellent service, delivering top-quality food and clean surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and consistently enforces all Company policies, procedures and standards. Ensures all government laws, rules and regulations are followed to the letter of the law regarding wages, hours and sanitation.
• Understands P & L and works with the Executive General Manager to achieve financial goals for the restaurant.
• Works with the management team to achieve maximum sales and profits while maintaining excellence in operational standards and procedures.
• Maintains proper inventories, ensuring compliance with established parameters and completing related accounting and administrative reports in a timely manner.
• Assists in the process of recruiting, interviewing and hiring new staff members as well as overseeing their training, development and growth within the company. Coaches and counsels employees as needed.
• Works with the Executive General Manager to implement all advertising and promotions coordinated by the Marketing Department, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented properly 100% of the time.
• Maintains strict safety and sanitation standards within the restaurant.
• Assists the Executive General Manager to ensure all employees receive proper training, formulating appropriate schedules and maintaining guest goodwill and positive public relations within the community.
• Supports the management team at all times with the primary focus being complete guest satisfaction.
• Maintains a professional appearance, adhering to uniform standards at all times.
