The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence or shift overlaps and leads team members in customer service.

Essential Job Functions

1. Lead the team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
2. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs effectively.
3. Assist in staffing the retail sales counter during peak hours.
4. Help set team goals, provide feedback, coaching, and ensure ongoing training.
5. Participate in hiring, including interviewing and candidate evaluation.
6. Answer phones per company policy.
7. Process online orders, transfers, and special orders promptly and contact customers as needed.
8. Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds efficiently and accurately.
9. Ensure merchandise invoicing, communication of messages, and delegation of merchandising tasks.
10. Ensure team compliance with policies, schedules, and clocking procedures.
11. Perform opening/closing duties, including securing the store and preparing deposits.
12. Maintain store facilities and equipment.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional, ASE Certification, Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
