Job summary

Independent Pet Partners in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations and coach team members. You will ensure an exceptional guest experience, manage inventory, and promote pet health through knowledgeable product recommendations.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail and managerial experience, plus flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Pay ranges for this fulltime position reflect experience, with strong growth opportunities in a pet-loving

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an exceptional experience.
• Assist the Store Manager in overall management of store operations.

• Oversee all aspects of inventory such as merchandise replenishment, inventory, adjustments, weekly cycle counts, store transfers, RTVs, and shipment processing.
• Organize special store events and promotions.
• Positively interact with pet parents in-person, via email, text, and phone.
• Perform front-end duties such as handling the cash register, bagging, replenishing merchandise, and preparing displays.
• All other assigned duties from the Store Manager and/or any member of the Retail Management Team.

It is your responsibility to provide exceptional customer service, help increase store awareness, achieve business results, and assist with operational processes.

Physical Demands

• Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out).
• Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs.
• Must be able to work around pet hair and dander.

$18.00-$21.15 per hour DOE/DOQ
