General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and assisting customers positively, answering questions, and resolving inquiries.
2. Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment.
3. Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on operating practices.
4. Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
5. Assisting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
6. Supporting loss prevention efforts.
7. Taking on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
8. Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Preferred experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, potential development, results-driven, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, and relationship management.
