The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and leads store team members in customer service.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Lead the team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels and ensure team members execute customer service programs effectively.
  3. Assist in staffing during peak hours and in setting team goals, providing feedback, coaching, and training.
  4. Participate in hiring processes, including interviewing and evaluating candidates.
  5. Ensure proper handling of customer transactions, returns, exchanges, and merchandise invoicing.
  6. Communicate Zipline messages, delegate merchandising tasks, and ensure policy adherence.
  7. Perform store opening/closing duties, including securing cash, preparing deposits, and ensuring store security.
  8. Maintain store facilities and equipment.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification

Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification, bilingual in multiple languages (Spanish highly preferred)
