Job summary

Columbia Sportswear is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running an efficient store. You will lead the team, drive store sales, and deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining operations that align with company goals.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, inventory control, and delivering strong results in a fast-paced retail environment at a Columbia brand location.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred

ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. From ensuring effective store operations, strategies, and procedures, to guiding and developing team members, our Store Leadership Teams help create memorable customer experiences while supporting and helping drive the company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be a key member of the Store Leadership Team, and you will assist the Store Manager to ensure effective store operations. This role executes strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. Serving as a positive role model and leader, this position will support the Store Manager in cultivating a collaborative team environment and delivering exceptional customer service. Related Job Titles: Associate Store Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Customer Experience Manager, Assistant Retail Manager.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in position or specialization
• Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.
• Ability to use judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
• Effective communication skills; able to exchange ideas and information with the store leadership team, associates, and consumers.

JOB CONDITIONS

• Frequently in an active environment (i.e., requires the ability to constantly move about) that can be physical or strenuous (frequently adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may frequently use specialized equipment, may have exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasionally requires the ability to work in a place.
• Ability to communicate clearly with others.

Pay Range: $24.45 - $36.67

Expected Pay Range for Hire: $24.45 - $32.60*Pay decisions are determined by multiple factors, including what the market is paying, a candidate's capabilities and skills, years of experience, and internal equity.
