Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a full-time role in Comstock Park, MI. You will support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, supervise staff, oversee production and sales, and help maintain a safe, welcoming store environment.

Paid training and ongoing leadership support are provided. Responsibilities include supervising staff, meeting budgeted goals, ensuring safety and OSHA compliance, managing banking and records, and fostering community relations aligned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years retail experience (thrift experience a plus).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Basic computer proficiency including POS systems.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in day-to-day operations and staff supervision.
• Implement strategies to meet production and sales goals.
• Assist manager with store maintenance and safety, OSHA compliance, and appearance.
• Handle banking and record-keeping procedures and prepare personnel documentation.
• Communicate with Store Manager about all aspects of store operations.
