Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc in Alabama is hiring for Retail Assistant Manager on our Assistant Store Leader Trainee program. You will join a management team, gain leadership experience, and help drive exceptional customer service while meeting store goals.

This full-time role offers on-site leadership training, with opportunities to advance from within. You will supervise staff, support merchandising and marketing programs, and ensure a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching with the Store Leader.
• Focus on retaining qualified applicants, developing leaders, and boosting productivity.
• Assist in merchandising and marketing programs implementation.
• Cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting loyalty programs.
• Maintain health and sanitation, keep store clean and in-stock.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel; High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service activities alongside the Store Leader for all staff.
• Support retention by developing leaders and empowering employees.
• Help implement merchandising and marketing programs in-store.
• Manage cash, fuel transactions, and loyalty program promotions.
• Maintain clean, safe environment following health protocols.

What you bring:

• Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching, alongside the Store Leader, for all store employees.
• Demonstrated strength maintaining high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity.
• Ability to assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting our loyalty program.
• Demonstrated ability maintaining a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures to ensure the store is presentable and that all products are in-stock.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel).
• A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates that have at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment.
• The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
