Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Store Leader to oversee daily operations, drive customer service, and lead a high-performing grocery team across departments such as Dairy, Frozen, and Liquor/Beer. You will mentor staff, manage budgets, ensure safety and compliance, and partner with store leadership to deliver sales growth and an exceptional shopping experience.

The role requires extensive retail management experience and a talent for building strong teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive retail experience with prior management or supervisory experience required.
• Experience leading grocery department operations and customer-focused teams.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily store operations, ensuring excellent customer service and operational execution.
• Manage the Grocery Department, including Dairy, Frozen, and Liquor/Beer areas, to achieve sales, profitability, and service goals.
• Ensure product quality, inventory accuracy, merchandising standards, pricing compliance, and food safety requirements are maintained.
• Supervise, coach, train, schedule, and develop department employees and managers to drive performance and engagement.
• Monitor financial performance, labor expenses, inventory results, and shrink, implementing plans to improve profitability.
• Support recruiting, hiring, performance management, and succession planning activities.
• Foster positive customer, vendor, and employee relationships while resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Serve as the store leader in the absence of the Store Director and provide operational guidance across all store departments.
