Description

The Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office has an opening for an Assistant State’s Attorney. The Montgomery County Courthouse is located in Hillsboro, IL.

The role is currently a full time position, however may be open to a part time position(s) depending on experience, and would be open to a retired state/county attorney with a limitation on hours.

Experience or a desire to practice with civil and juvenile advocacy/juvenile delinquency cases preferred. Can offer training in these areas. The current assignment would be in these areas along with some misdemeanor and or drug related felony cases.

While there is not a residency requirement, the assistant would have on call duties including weekend(s).

Salary

Current starting salary for the Assistant State’s Attorney will range from $80,000.00-$130,000.00 commensurate with experience. The Assistant State’s Attorney will be provided health insurance benefits, as well as contributions to IMRF.
