Job summary

Maury County Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Head Coach to support the athletic program. You will help enforce rules and policies, supervise all student athletes, and ensure a safe environment for training and competition.

You will also assist in addressing student and parent inquiries through proper channels and perform duties as assigned by the head coach. The role requires dedication to safety, sportsmanship, and adherence to the administrative chain of command.

Qualifications

Assist the head coach in verifying that athletes adhere to the rules and regulations of applicable athletic associations and school policies.
Maintain supervision of all student athletes at all times, with an adult in the locker room.
Provide a safe environment and proper care for injuries.
Carry out duties as deemed by the head coach and adhere to chain of command.
Represent the program with respect and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

Assist the head coach in ensuring athletes comply with TSSAA/TMSAA or other athletic associations and school policies.
Supervise student athletes at all times; ensure a responsible adult is in the locker room.
Foster a safe environment and proper injury prevention and care.
Perform duties assigned by the head coach.
Follow the administrative chain of command for student/parent inquiries.
Model respect and sportsmanship for students and the community.
Additional duties as assigned.
