Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced athletic coach to recruit and retain NAIA-athletes, coach team members at practices and events, and evaluate prospective student-athletes on campus.

The role requires leadership, clear communication with coaches, players, parents, and staff, as well as adherence to university policies and NAIA guidelines. You will stay informed on rule changes and training methods while contributing to department duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year institution.
• Clear understanding of and commitment to the NAIA philosophy and the role of athletics within the university’s mission.
• Appropriate coaching licenses and necessary certifications for the designated sport.
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop athletes.
• Effective communication skills with other coaches, players, parents, and organization members.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and retention of athletes consistent with university, AAC, and NAIA guidelines.
• Coaching the team; including attendance at all practice sessions and team-related functions.

• Assuming additional department responsibilities as assigned by the head coach.
